ForNAV is moving to Cloud-only pricing

New and simplified ForNAV pricing structure

We are pleased to introduce the new and simplified ForNAV Cloud-only pricing structure. Effective May 1st, 2024, all new ForNAV customers will only be able to buy from the Cloud price list.

This results in a significantly simplified pricing structure with immediate benefits:

  • It eliminates the need to pay separately for converting from “classic” (i.e. NAV 2009 or earlier).
  • It includes Dual Use Rights, so you can run Microsoft Cloud, or you can deploy your solution on-premise (OnPrem) or in a private Cloud environment, according to your preference.
  • All customers will be ready to move to Microsoft Cloud now or later if they start on-premise, without any change in licensing or pricing structure.
  • The option to purchase a ForNAV Group License is replaced with the ability to buy ‘Additional production environments,’ which include additional databases when running OnPrem.

The new pricing structure introduces new prices for ForNAV Cloud, which can be found here: www.fornav.com/pricing.

The new ForNAV pricing will take effect from May 1, 2024, and is aligned with the Microsoft pricing structure that has already been announced and will be available later.

Why this change?

Over the past couple of years, ForNAV has introduced significant advancements, including the possibility to print directly from Business Central with Direct Print and the launch of a new File Service, supporting the Hybrid Cloud concept. We have reinstated access to C:\ files from BC Cloud, added support for e-invoicing (including ZUGFeRD), and delivered enhanced HTML support. Our Customizable Report Pack has undergone ongoing enhancements featuring new and improved reports, such as out-of-the-box Excel reports. These represent just a handful of the numerous ways in which ForNAV streamlines and enhances Business Central reporting and printing.

The pricing structure for ForNAV should be clear and easily understandable for both our partners and customers. We also want to ensure that pricing does not become a barrier when choosing between a Cloud, OnPrem, or Hybrid solution. Additionally, we must be able to adapt to market changes and currency fluctuations, while maintaining competitiveness and attractiveness to customers. Therefore, after an extended period without price adjustments, we are transitioning to a new pricing structure.

What does it mean for existing customers?

Existing ForNAV OnPrem customers on a one-time fee (perpetual) will not be affected by the new pricing structure. They can still benefit from the option to convert from a one-time fee to Cloud pricing. Read details here: https://www.fornav.com/news/fornav-license-transition-from-onprem-to-cloud/.

Existing ForNAV OnPrem customers on subscription will not be affected by the new pricing structure. They will, however, have the option to move to Cloud pricing any time they want. *)

Existing ForNAV Cloud customers will move to the new price list at their next renewal after May 1, 2024.

Reminder: As previously announced, the margin on renewals of enhancements and subscriptions will go down to 10% for partners not fulfilling the requirement to sell at least one new ForNAV license in a 12-month period.

*) Please note, we are unable to issue refunds for any previously invoiced subscriptions or enhancements.
