In Germany, businesses must include not only tax-related information but also legal company details on invoices, even when sent in electronic formats like ZUGFeRD.
This includes things like the commercial register, registration number, and names of managing directors. These details have to be part of the XML file that is sent with the invoice.
Because Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central does not provide dedicated fields for this information by default, we have introduced a solution within the FORNAV setup.
We have added the Note field specifically for this purpose. You can enter the required company details there, and they will automatically be transferred into the XML structure.
This ensures that the information is correctly recognized by common validation tools and that your ZUGFeRD invoices remain fully compliant without requiring manual adjustments.
