Using the FORNAV Peppol app in Belgium

By default, Business Central uses GLN or VAT numbers to create an identifier for the Peppol network.

However, in Belgium this is not the case. Instead, the Enterprise No. and the prefix 0208: must be used.

This means that, for Belgian customers, before publishing to the Peppol address book, on the FORNAV Peppol Setup page, you must set the Identification Code field to 208, and the Identification Value field to the customer’s Enterprise No.

In addition, for vendors and customers based in Belgium, you must set up the Service Participants on the customer/vendor card. To do this, in the Participant Identifier field, you must use the Belgium Enterprise No. prefixed with 0208:.

When you order the FORNAV license for a customer in Belgium, please add a comment that you want to access the Peppol network and include the BE “Enterprise No.”

Since Business Central validate the incoming document against the VAT number in Company Information instead of “Enterprise No.” you also need to turn “Validate Receiving Company” for the FORNAV e-Document service
