What Is the FORNAV Professional Certification?
The FORNAV Professional Certification is a short, focused assessment that tests your knowledge of the FORNAV tools.
The test covers different topics, including:
- Installing FORNAV
- The FORNAV Designer
- Language and terminology
- Permissions
- Data Items
- Totals, Group Totals, and Transfer Totals
- JavaScript
The certification is designed to be practical, fast, and relevant. To pass you need to score 100%, but you can retake each section of the quiz as many times as you need to.
If you don’t pass a section, we recommend visiting the FORNAV Fundamentals e-learning course (free of charge).

Certification Validity & Renewal
Once you passed the FORNAV certification, it is valid for the rest of the year in which you passed the test, plus the full following calendar year.
For example, if you passed the test in May 2025, your certification will be valid until December 31, 2026.
To stay certified after that, you’ll need to retake the latest version of the test to reflect the most current FORNAV functionality.
